The short answer

As of September 2026 its FAQ says meals start at $10, with a 3-to-12 meal minimum per delivery and a flat delivery fee on top, so it costs more per meal than mass-market kits.

Everything below comes from what Territory Foods publishes. We did not order or taste the food, so this review is about the terms and the menu system, not flavor.

What Territory sells

Territory works differently from a single-kitchen service. Its site says meals come from local chefs, small businesses and restaurants, developed with registered dietitians, and delivered fresh. The homepage advertises 35-plus seasonal options a week and describes meals as ready in under two minutes. Another page on the site puts the weekly menu as high as 90 items, so treat the exact count as a moving figure that depends on your market.

The distinctive feature is filtering. Territory says you can narrow the menu by ingredient, macronutrient range and dietary preference: gluten-free, dairy-free, paleo, vegan and keto are all listed. According to its How It Works page, meals by default contain no gluten, dairy or refined sugars, and the homepage adds that meals avoid nitrates, chemical preservatives and artificial colors.

The homepage shows one sample panel: 469 calories, 29 g fat, 24 g carbohydrate and 31 g protein. That is one meal, not a promise about the menu, but it shows the level of detail published before you order. If you count macros, that panel is what you will be working from.

What it costs

Territory’s FAQ says meals start at $10. The word “start” matters: price varies with local costs and the complexity of the dish, and the site shows current prices by market during ordering.

The fee structure is where the bill grows. Territory’s help center describes a flat delivery fee per delivery, $9.99 in most regions and $10.99 in New York and the Bay Area, with national shipping (FedEx or OnTrac) ranging from $10.99 to $19.99 a week depending on your area. Territory delivers up to twice a week, and a second delivery means a second fee.

A worked example, using only the published figures at the headline rate: six meals at $10 is $60, plus a $9.99 delivery fee, about $69.99, or roughly $11.67 a meal. Twelve meals in a single delivery is $120 plus the same fee, about $10.83 a meal. The smaller the order, the more the fee weighs. Prices differ by market, so use this as a shape, not a quote.

Subscribers get 5% off. One-time orders carry no commitment, which is useful if you only want to try it. For the full-field comparison, see our guide to the cheapest meal delivery services and the cost per meal breakdown.

Ordering rules

  • Minimums: the FAQ says each delivery must include at least 3 and at most 12 meals.
  • Deadline: changes to your subscription must be made before Thursday at 11:59 PM local time to affect the following week.
  • Skipping: you can skip weeks. The How It Works page says the subscription is risk-free and can be paused or cancelled at any time.
  • Pre-slotting: Territory asks you to rate meals each week and uses those ratings to pre-slot next week’s picks. You can edit them until the weekly order deadline.

That last point deserves attention. Any service that fills your box by default puts the burden on you to check. Our how to cancel or skip meal delivery guide covers the routine.

Where it delivers

Territory names the DC metro area with Richmond and coastal Virginia, New York City, Philadelphia, the Bay Area, Dallas-Fort Worth, Houston, Southern California, and a large part of the East Coast and Northeast. It says it is growing, and the help center describes national shipping for customers outside local delivery zones. Coverage and fees depend on your address, so check before you pick meals.

Who it fits

A good match if you want fresh meals from local kitchens, need gluten-free or dairy-free by default, or follow paleo, keto or vegan eating and like a menu that can be filtered by macros.

Less of a match if you want the lowest possible price per plate, since the $10 starting price plus a delivery fee sits above kit services, or if you only want a few meals a week.

Compare it with Factor, which is national and subscription-first, or with Snap Kitchen, whose whole menu is gluten-free.

Reading the nutrition panel

Because Territory publishes calories, fat, carbohydrate and protein for each meal, you can plan a day around the menu before you pay. The sample panel on the homepage, 469 calories with 31 g of protein, is one data point; other meals will differ, and the site says you can filter by macronutrient range to find ones that fit. Treat the panel as the company’s published figures, not something we measured. If you want to check how reliable such panels tend to be, see are meal delivery calorie counts accurate.

Three ways to use it

  • Trial run. Order once without a subscription. Territory says one-time orders carry no commitment, so you pay the delivery fee but skip the recurring plan.
  • Lunches only. A small standing order of three to six meals keeps the routine simple, but the fee makes it the most expensive way per meal.
  • Full week. Two deliveries of up to 12 meals each is the maximum the FAQ allows, and it spreads the delivery fee thinnest. It also requires you to be comfortable with a lot of fresh food arriving twice a week.

Questions to ask before you subscribe

  1. What is the delivery fee for my address, and is it charged per delivery or per week?
  2. Is my delivery day compatible with the Thursday cutoff?
  3. Which of the default exclusions (gluten, dairy, refined sugar) matter to me, and do I need to check individual labels for allergens?
  4. How many meals will I realistically eat before they go off?

Fresh food has a short shelf life, so order the number you will actually eat.

Health note

Territory says dietitians work with its chefs, but nothing here is medical advice. If you manage diabetes, allergies or pregnancy nutrition, read the label on each meal and talk to your own doctor or dietitian. Our method is described on how we review.
